Today, I skate,
I see dusk's duvet
Softly covering the Sun,
Over the frozen lake,
I skate,
I can smell winter,
I can feel the frost's tiny teeth biting my skin.

Thank you my senses,
For allowing me to experience this
Beautiful melancholy's bliss.

---

Today, I am alone.
They had told me to come
And join them
In celebrating the abnormality
Of man's animosity
But my Random Bullshit Generator Implant
That’s on e-bay for £1.95
Which everyone seems to have
Underneath their skin
Hasn't arrived yet.

And I am somehow grateful,
For I don't want to be the one,
For whom the bells toll.

I really connected this to two works of mine, "Winter's Silence" for the first part and "The Party" for the second part, I agree in the winter's portion of sensory images and the second party really got me thinking in the sense of a party. while reading that second part i could see a young man wandering through a party where everyone was laughing but him and he just walked around gathering up foods and drinks and pretending to have fun. . .beautifully done.

solitude always seems to help me define the marvels of nature...the senses can comprehend such unparalleled beauty that it makes us feel like gods. a perfectly simple/simply perfect moment frozen in time :)

Clever. Random Bullshit Generator. I can relate to the feeling... of smelling winter, and frost. ( I don't ice skate but I ski :) )You feel apart from others, but closer to nature and your own senses. Anyway this was beautifully written, it endulges the senses.
