Universal Laws;

Love,

Attraction,

Gravitation.

There was a time the universe
was not ruled by night.
A time when the heavens spilled colors
across the empty space.
Murals painted across the sky,
surrounding her beauty with more.

But
the heavens noted something.

The stars faded,

She looked best
upon a blank, black canvas.
where all could see her.

Mars.
free floating,
crater covered perfection.

(The critic calls craters flaws,
 I call their opinion flawed.
 It's people like them
That damaged you in the first place.

   You
   Are
   Beautiful

   You
   Are
   Amazing

   You
   Are
   Perfect

 just as you are.

 I love you. )

Unable to deny universal laws,
love found her and I.

Deimos,
the heart and physical form.

Phobos,
the ethereal, the soul.

And Mars,
the star in their midst.

A planet to you, maybe
but a star to me always.

I will always be yours,
forever orbiting.

*Deimos and Phobos are the two moons held by Mars.*

Also the staging point for the original game of Doom. But let's not dwell on the negatives.
