*Happy birthday Mars*
"And with a blink,
She veiled the sun"
Such was the immensity of her power,
to this man.
For every star he had ever wished upon
Flickered, fixed in the black space
within her eyes,
Which,
in comparison,
made the universe seem shallow,
one-dimensional even;
outside of this goddess,
empty.
This man always felt
fate in her touch,
As if
destiny had carved,
in celestial calligraphy,
her name upon his heart.
Just as she was engraved
in his every smile
and in his every wish.
She wove galaxies with words,
spilling her essence into the sky.
For, "Paper knows boundaries,
my love does not."
And so the sky bore her signature,
yet written there
was his name.
The extent of a love such as this is indescribable.
But know,
goddess,
You will be the thought that can make me smile, even as I die
For you may then hold my soul
as you once held my heart.
