*About a friend, Feeling down and alone*

Love was never kind to her,
And life was never fair.
She clung to dreams but not to hope,
Held a wish but had no prayer.

I always knew her heart was large,
She told me "More unused space, more pain."
I pleaded emptiness to subside,
Though all efforts were in vain.

I cannot begin to list the things,
She never received and I know deserved.
Happiness eluded , love was excluded,
Instead emptiness was served...

My words are not concrete enough,
Will never help her feel complete...

Cold and alone,
She just kept on saying:

"My heart, I cannot feel its beat"
"My heart, I cannot feel its beat"

I sighed to myself,
It isn't fair...
