I mourn the passing
Of every word that I

Scraped away
And left

Like
Muted mummies
Wrapped in rubber
Bandages

Then brushed aside,
Out of my way.

But never
Out of my mind.

Each of those unspoken words
Meant more to me
Than the corrections made,

The corrections made
To make it mean

More to you.

'don't regret the things you've done but the things you didn't do.' this is one of the mottos i live by and i found the only way to live life without regrets. (thats my two cent advice) i really liked the emotion in this and its simplicity. very nice write. ~ta~

The depth of this is so wonderful yet barely scratching the surface as if it were for someone else to read (as it was). I adore it.

Regret at not taking action, I'm assuming from the work? Sometimes the regret of action is deeper...

mm. but it can be covered up by the sands of time. just don't let your tears fall on it, erosion is a bitch.

Felt really strong and personal, and just right with no corrections needed.
