Help me escape
This tormenting fight
Here I am silently wishing
That the wind will
One day have intent
To carry me something more
Than this cold chill
Wishing that the
Unelapsed time,
Standing like a
Wall of infinite depth
Between us
Would crumble.
This unjust plight
Wishing father time
Would hear past
The ticking of his
Artificial heart
And hear the beat of mine,
Strong and true.
But alas,
He bows to no one.
This endless night...
The transitions from day to night
And positions of sun and moon
Are no longer known to me
The flaming skies were
Finally doused with enough
Tears to be
Extinguished
But the ashen clouds remain.
Dark reminders of
All that holds us apart.
Lend me your wings
Let me take flight,
Circumstances acting like
Some much more cruel form
of gravity.
Pulling up, down,
left, right,
Forward, and back.
Leaving me
Immobile.
Leaving me like a stone
Which can be tossed
Around by others
But cannot move
Of its own will.
Let me take flight...
Help me escape.
This tormenting fight,
This unjust plight,
This endless night...
Lend me your wings,
Let me take flight,
Let me take flight...
Let me fly to her.
