*Alright this is a test to see who payed attention in science class in school. See if you can catch the few things I didn't explain. Probably not a piece to be enjoyed by those who didn't take science through high school or haven't got there yet. But who knows.*
*Going throughout a school day with her stuck in my head*
Chemistry:
While Listening to a lesson
I slipped into my own
subatomic world
For too long I felt like a charged ion
Searching for an exchange of electrons
Searching to form a bond with another
To exchange electrical love
I couldn't balance love's equation
Until I put our substance(s) together
You brought me to my stable state
(I felt noble)
Together we modeled titration
You neutralized the acid that
Was corroding my heart
The salt water that resulted
Helped mend the wounds
You came bearing hydroxyl groups
An alcohol in my system
How can you be a poison?
You sterilize my past wounds
And make me feel... so good
A heart once drawn using Bohr's outdated model
Two-dimensional
You redrew it, made it quantum
Math:
I sat in math class this morning
Head full of numbers
All adding up to you
We were factoring
And so I wrote out the equation of love
And found its factors
To be me and you
Plotted a love-time graph
And viewed a quadratic function
An exponential increase over time
I spent the rest of the class
Calculating the shortest path
To your heart
Physics:
Every term I wrote down to define
I instead found a way to relate to you
Remembering when we first met
I fell for you so fast
I hit terminal velocity
But now I'm yours
Understanding better than any physicist
Just what gravity really is
My mind stuck in your pull
Thoughts of you forever orbiting
I realized that we existed together
In a circuit arranged in series
One light can't shine
Without the other
