I am waiting.
Waiting to be alone, finally.
One more night, and I will be.
She'll be gone, and they with her, no need to see.

When they leave, I'll lock the door.
I'll turn the taps, and the water will pour.
Five gallons of gas all over the floor.
Is it plugged in? Better make sure.
Back to the water; Need a little more.
Make sure my blade is sharper than before.

I wouldn't want to mess it all up again.
I thought it all through, came up with a plan.
I slip myself into the water, and then,
I remember the note; what did it say again?

"I'm sorry I hurt you. I was cruel. I was wrong.
Your life will be better, now that I am gone.
All of my imperfections, vices, misdeeds,
I will be taking all of them with me,
That you, and that they, may have a better life,
With someone who is more worthy of you, my wife."

I slash with the knife, blood streams into the water.
I grab the appliance; it's about to get hotter.
As my life leaves my wrists, and I sink down below,
The toaster falls in, and the sparks come and go.
They ignite the gasoline all over the floor,
The flames spread quickly to the walls and the door.

The last things I think before my soul comes free,
Is how I loved her...
Now, Death, I embrace thee...
