Blood upon the altar;
A death-cry in the air.
All that I had come to know,
Erased without a care.

The pain of suffering and loss,
Replaced what was before;
Until I came to know you.
You showed me that there was more.

Your words unsaid and spoken,
Are as fresh air through the door.
It seems the ties that bind us,
Don't hurt so much anymore.

Aww that was sweet. The hope to heal overpowers the suffering and loss. The meter was smooth. Lovely
