Our lips press together
He doesn't feel me at all

I run my fingers through his hair
But he doesn't notice

When I look him in the eye
He sees through me

When I run my hands over his naked skin
He feels me not at all

We are so similar
Same green eyes
Same chestnut brown hair
Same hopes and dreams

Yet when the words leave my lips
He doesn't hear me speak them

We would be perfect
If only he would notice me

But instead
He turns away from the mirror

Seeing me not at all
