V1:

Girl I know that times were hard
And we both left each other scarred
Even though we would compete
You still made me feel complete

Then we had a fight one day
Said some things I should not say
I still remember your face
Before you walked out of our place

C:

If I had a time machine
I would go back to that scene
Bite my tongue and never say
The words that made you walk away

If I could turn the hands of time
I say the words to keep you mine
And I’d never see you cry
Then walk away and say goodbye

Walk away and say goodbye…

V2:

Years ago I fell for you
Found a love I knew was true
And I thought you’d always be
Standing right there next to me

That day I ripped out your heart
Yeah I tore your world apart
I’d take it all back if I could
But would it do any good?

C:

If I had a time machine
I would go back to that scene
Bite my tongue and never say
The words that made you walk away

If I could turn the hands of time
I say the words to keep you mine
And I’d never see you cry
Then walk away and say goodbye

Walk away and say goodbye…

Interlude:

V3:

Now I stand here in a pool
Of my own tears like a fool
Vainly trying to find a way
To go back to yesterday

Sure I said things I regret
That I have not made up for yet
And no matter what I do
I am still in love with you

C:

If I had a time machine
I would go back to that scene
Bite my tongue and never say
The words that made you walk away

If I could turn the hands of time
I say the words to keep you mine
And I’d never see you cry
Then walk away and say goodbye
