Night has fallen
The last lark has finished her song
And flown back to nestle in her warmth
And dream of a new glory to sing tomorrow.

But I am awake
She's coming for me tonight
Sleep is listless and dull
It pales in comparison to the restfulness she brings

The lights are out
Darkness will find her way here
The seconds last as wanting hours
The cold air bonds my mind and soul to her

Darkness loves me
Even as I hear no voice
I breath her, taste her, feel her in the air
She need say nothing for i know her heart

The dawn draws near
I shun and fight to stay the sun
She gently smiles and melts my heart
We deeply kiss, I'm lost again and once more we are joined

She flees the sun
I pray in vain for it to last
I cling to the night, I need Darkness
But she leaves me once more so I will treasure her love

I like Darkness as a pronoun. This is good, better than the origanal, I think. My favourite line was 16, that was good. And I'm still loving the concept. Darkness as a lover... hmm...
