Darkness now has laid me bare
With blasted crop of raven hair
And saphire eyes set to transfix
And promise grant my every wish
On blackest nights I am yet blessed
Her silken skin and face caress
And Darkness she still holds me here
And whispers Muses in my ear
O Childe of night with sweet sick lips
Before the dawn you from me rips
I wish to sing your tender song
Though night be short and days grow long
I hold you close and ward the light
Who wants to steal you from my sight
But leave you must and I concede
Lest stubborness should turn to greed
But know this as you walk the knife
You will forever rule my life
