August 1st, 1992
Will came over today
we made love
August 2nd, 1992
Will came over today
we made love
and on and on she wrote
in the weekly pocket planner
she kept hidden in her drawer

I know I shouldn’t have been looking
and that everyone should respect
everyone else’s privacy
but I was feeling a bit jealous
and needed some evidence to satisfy
my stupor

until then I thought it was a casual thing
I thought she probably had her eyes
on someone else already
even though she still had her hands on me

August 3rd, 1992
Will came over
we made love
it was undeniable
clearly she was in a lot deeper than I thought
was I?
no, I was just young
dumb
and feeling cocky

August 4th, 1992
Will came over
we made love
it went on just like that
for three damned good years
and mixed in for good measure
there was some fighting
and she would throw plates at me
and she once shattered a cassette tape
on my aching skull

it’s been many years
since I’ve filled the pages
of her weekly pocket planner
but I hope the lucky bastard
she writes about now
is giving her the love
she used to write about
with me

Ouch--this one has a bit of sting to it. Nicely done!

It was a bit more than a sting to me. She was like a crazy ninja with those plates and she rarely missed. LOL! I used these slant-lined bruises... they were tough to explain.

While I feel I would have seperated the entries from thought, this is well done!
