yeah baby
you had all the right curves
and you were short
short like dynamite
with a short fuse
short in some ways
big in others
big almond eyes
and your big ass
that hypnotized me at once
rendering me helpless
when I saw you turn around
and sit right in front of me
I tried to make conversation right away
about that magazine you were reading
small talk, blather
I just wanted another look at that ass
then we walked along the board walk
and it was a fine day that day
sunny, full of life
the summer singing us love songs
on a gentle ocean breeze
warm and friendly
as if nothing could ever go wrong
as we sat on the sand
drinking a beer
you told me that you never cooked for men
they just weren’t worth the trouble
looking back now
at all the meals you fixed up for me
I guess I was the kind of trouble
worth cooking for
and even though it didn’t last
I’ll always fondly remember
your pancakes
and your big ass
