I can’t think of anything more appealing
than an unhitched smile on your lips
so I’m reaching into my bag of tricks
reaching for stardust
a handful of sunshine
that I was saving for a rainy day
let’s see what else I have here
ah, a few answered prayers
and if I reach a bit further
I can even manage to find
a bit of hope
now I’ll carefully mix them together
and presto!
a miraculous smile
appears on your face
now for my next trick
for this I’ll need
a big red nose
huge, floppy shoes
oversized pants
a little face paint
a curly red wig
and presto!
magic working
you keep smiling
clown feet dancing
laughter spreading
two hearts singing!
