the silence is breaking me
again
so I’m drawing bunny rabbit pirates
hoping to pass the time
without you

with the taste of you
still on my lips

reaching for the natives
reaching for the sun
reaching for damn near anything

I’m falling
deeper and deeper
into this rabbit hole
and I’m wondering
if Alice had a wonderland like this
this steaming pile of fate
covering my plate

and I'm waiting to dine
hoping to find
more appetizing moments

yet, I’m constantly as aghast
as a message in a bottle
finding a blind reader
losing my purpose

all I hoped for
all I dreamt of
falls off of colossal mountains
gargantuan towers
alpine rooftops

aflame
with the scent
of sparsely covered scars
their fate
much like mine
a casket away
from nothing

i loved the way you described the fate. i had a cool image with that. and that stanza with the message and blind reader. that was great.

Fluid and pulsating with passionate pain. Reading this, I felt like I was falling as well. Must you always tug on heart-strings :). I have not been on DP for awhile. It's nice to return to such a mind.
