I’m peeling back pages
like slow ebbing tides of time
I’m crossing lines out
and putting lines in
all the things I shouldn’t of said
all the things I should have said

I’m highlighting every word
I ever heard you say

because you’re my religion
and I have faith

I’m your ocean
you’re my moonlight
shine on me
shine on
just shine
