"melodic symmetry" by fallen

I heard a song today.
it rose from the tangled pits
of lost souls
and I wondered
why the earth stood still
while it played just for me.
it’s as if it froze the world
just to whisper in my ear

and so I sinned…
the greatest of sins.
I welcomed in its beauty
and drank in its wretchedness
because it’s the only way
I knew to caress
its melodic textures.

while I sat in the sun
admiring the darkness
I finally understood
its divine symmetry:
our plights
are penciled into paper rainbows
just for laughs
just for sorrow
just for anything worth living for.

This is probably the best piece you've written thus far, in my opinion. Well written and expressed. +tpu+
