I can hear it.
your screams are silent
but I hear them.
scarred and weathered
with a fallen grace.
it torments me
to find you
there again.

please.
just this once
let me feel
the way you feel.
let me lick
that bitterness
off of your lips.
let me drink
out of the very same cup
where you hide those tears.

let me help you
say those words.
let me bring you solace.

I know we’re just chasing
caravans of nothing
and singing suicide notes
of sorrow
but I believe in every tear
that drips down your face.

we both need.

stay with me.
lay with me.
put your hands in mine.

tonight is forever
and I’ve got
one more star
to shine.
