i molded chasms out of thunderous roars
each scream i shook from crimson roses bled for you
i howled and bellowed every secret from frozen lips
nailed shut for you
i trembled sickly and clawed the earth
a mighty hand held my contempt and choked it
from my raspy pleas
these open arms that held the earth
mightier than atlas
with shoulders forged for grief
but not like this
this tender kiss
that night you stold the earth
of worldly bliss
to fall so frail
what stood so strong
please tame these wings
that used to soar
but now so cumbersome
weighed down with grief
so i must fall from starry heights
to land this heart of wooden beats
and when i fall and crumble forth
these splintered eyes will look for you
