Dark forces and horses,
four horsemen on horses.
They came in a dream
of unnatural causes.
In the fog of an era,
bringing pain,
bringing terror,
Four dark knights
riding closer and closer to me.

In a slithering pit
armed with only my wit,
I’ve designed a report
for the danger I court.
These are perilous times,
when we face all our crimes.
There are ways to deceive,
there are bodies to leave.

You can be on my team
or die in a scream.
You can taste every pleasure
and enjoy our dark treasure.
If you choose to come freely
you’ll be spared from the slaughter
If you choose to deny us
you’ll drown in bloody water.

United in darkness,
you’ll sit at my table.
I’m the wicked Messiah
once written in fable.
I’ve saved all the loyal
and saved all the tame.
If you’ve ever known suffering
then you’ve spoken my name.
If you’ve ever known loss
then you’ve dabbled in dread.
If you dare turn against me
then you’ll dance with the dead.

There are ways to deny me
and stray from my path.
There are ways to embrace me
and drink in my dark wrath.
You’ll find I’m a dear friend
when all hope is lost.
You’ll tremble in terror
when you learn of the cost.
Four horsemen have told me
they’ll be here real soon.
These horsemen have sung
in a wisdom filled tune.
