Nails of a - soil rodent...reduced to blood as my teeth
scan the digits for one last calcium treat.
You just left, time to do the laundry...socks, skirt...there they are...
"exhibit A"....off to the lab for DNA analysis.
You may kiss him good-bye at his apartment,
but you bring him home in your underwear...
I know what you taste like and this reaks of bastard.
I'm going over it, and over it in my head...all the pre-meditated tales you had to tell, in order to get out this evening.
I loved the way you grabbed your yoga mat, as you said...........
"we usually run late on thursday nights"
Your domesticated mind and motherly instinct
only make this harder, If only you were a crack whore.
You'll be home soon, it's time to resume the internal foetal position
where I am most at ease. A sacrificial lamb that loves his skin,
perhaps the pleasure of the pain, is the love of the game,
............................"Did you have a good night"

Every line like a bullet. I too read and re-read this. I wish I could eat poetry. This is bitter chocolate.
