Too random to think straight
Sweat ridden sheets and breathing walls
Feeling them crawl under my skin
Immeasurable numbers advance vengeful
Needle like stings
Coarse, radiating ache in my chest
They keep you inches from life
Thrust down on your lungs
They leak out like smoke from fire
Eyes in outline form
Camouflaged in shadows
Sensing their focus, pressure of sight
Linear thoughts voided of patterns
The horizon is awash with vengeance
Slowly closer
Time defaults on it’s neutrality
They wait with devout patience
Certain you’ll trip wires
They make no fault, surgical efforts
Precise derangement
