They said we were a virus untamed
Progressive directives would kill us all
Subjected to senses blurred in religion
Reality dark, sharp, and stinging cold

It used to be Eden here
No rain in controlled environments
Deadened waves of guttural sound
Exchanging our voice with thought
There are no new ideas
Blind to the fact of a backwards state
Reverting to obscure ways
They’re tearing the wires from their wrists

Some said the human was dead
Flesh was a slow hybrid of steel
Unclean and disturbing, crashes and fades
Instincts illegal and beaten like less than dogs

It used to be utopia here
No surprise in anything at all
I miss the simulated situations
Now they call it “Experience”
Nobody used to be unable
There was no need to learn anything at all
Implanted “Life Zones” at the “Farms”
All that we were is all that they said

They said we were in slow crisis
The moment dismissed as “Electrical dawn”
Pushing backwards deep into normalcy
Reckless animals is not where we belong

It used to be prefect here
Execute actions with merely a thought
“View filters” and unified actions
God’s mind is dark mathematics
Suspended states like neon glare dying
Immature minds waste time on edged calm
Clarity falls between signal graveyards
Someone thought and now we’re unclear
