It persists
Through the methods of cure
The air is so thick
It’s becoming hard to hear
White hot bursts of factory law
Searing steam burning air
An itch around the eyes
Full sedation of senses
Touch absent of texture
Affect below the floating point

Wait guarded
Altruistic futurist
The placebo effect
Thrives beyond chemical
Karma breaks another promise
There are no more ideas
Murmurs between pulses
Watching sounds vibrate and glow
Until the last ones burn out
And the sighing gray noise just stops

"placebo implies psychology" yeah, i muddy it up a bit, maybe too much, but the "Brave New World" reference is dead on

always good. sounds like chasing the dragon. your metaphors of industry speak of a processed drug in a whisp of smoke. numb implies down but placebo implies psychology not physical. suffice to say i liked it and im usually wrong in analysis but it is fun

It is like a peaceful altered state, of one reaching for ascendence in the midst of a sweatshop.
