Nothing’s left in sight
Past the limits of all my senses
What black aspires to be
The impact of hitting bottom
Falling out from under itself
Everything and I are spinning
In a dark directionless room
Something’s holding me close
Getting me used to the cold
Throwing myself at walls
Knock it clear out of me
The rip deep, into my skin
Flows down, across my palm
Something’s scraping memory
So I’ll always remember
It washes over me again
Stinging the back of the eyes
You can’t reconnect a cut wire
No point of reference but this
Something’s draining me out
Like liquid across the floor
