Your seamless promise
Spoke to me
Where are you now?
Thoughts you pass off as your own
I’m sure I’ve heard before
A well worded lie
Pulled me in
Now absence is routine

Assault of god’s children
Bodies torn
It means nothing
The velocity of falling
Leaves the impact in me
One moment frozen
In the past
Like shards pierced through my voice
