the weight of your hope
like a sharp metal feather,
digs into my skin
and pulls me further from your kind implications
i don't want these thoughts
some that leave me ashamed
erase consequence
last views of a wavy surface slows my thinking
just for now i'm away
out from behind myself
and it just makes returning worse
every last thing i am
you've struck down
every last hope i've thought
you've murdered cold
away from every calm thought
the glare of your smile,
shines like a row of razors
that punctures my mouth
all i can do is press against the crimson liquid
spinning out of sleep
decoded messages,
i've only just scrambled
hands reaching below to help i'll resist and harm
i can't be rescued by,
you're conventional thoughts
your hope is pulling me under
away from every last chance
every last frequency you've shut down
every last word spoke, you've cut away
