behind zero, the sum of minus thoughts
exits burning and this occupied room falls apart
sightless and crazed, navigation through numb hands
north shifts it’s pole
air thins until it’s too light to breathe
i’ll push away - I’ll lie to leave
the last glow of light from a dead star
i don’t need you - I don’t want love
these abstract demands and missed warnings
liquid in cold, free movement denied here
nameless reasons and the velocity rushes in
voiceless with thought, shapes that replace every word
your dead end eyes
like lights in a mirror back at me
i’m turning off - I’m shutting down
the past is the light from a dead star
i don’t believe - I can’t recall
the scratched surfaces under my nails
