You weathered;
Your shimmer died,

Your neglect dried us up,
Until finally
My reverential worship for you crumbled,
Exposing the hideous truth:
You are naked now,
Stripped of all your outer lies,
Nude and exposed before me,
An ugly inner demon
Lapping at your wounds.
You petty wench,
All the beauty you possess
Is held within my dying memories.
Who are you to me, now?
Your superficial splendor
Has long since died away;
Why should I love you still?
I clung to you
Until you pried me off, and now-

To gather up your bloody rags
Still dripping from the love you tore from me.
I laugh at you now,
Pathetic, writhing worm,
Naked and beaten
Since I abandoned you.
