First off. The entire primeval and reduced basis of all life is simply chemical attraction. The entire function of the brain is used to sustain the chemically reduced body and ensure the chemical reaction that is the brain, as shown in electrical bursts from neurons produced by glucose and carbohydrates, all of which are biological and therefore chemical. Cells are chemically attracted units of chemicals, think of a white blood cell. It seeks out infection but is not conscious, or at least not conscious as we are, of the desire to seek out infection and not only this it acts independently of human beings. On a severely reduced scale it is a free acting agent without the rational basis that humanity has. Even our minute pieces of ourselves act independently of our mind and they act on chemical bases.
Animals too have free agency in both microscopic and macroscopic, psyche, levels. But, they are prime examples of how chemicals seek out chemicals without even realizing they do. Carnivores eat herbivores and other weaker carnivores. Why? So that they can sustain their own physical bodies. That is the sole reason. They have agency, as is shown even when people say they act without reason, they still act and preserve a self. Why do you seek out food. Well when understood on the level of nutrition and chemicals you seek out other chemcals, innately I might add, that is solely of the need for a chemical you know what it is subconsciously and not consciously, in food, in breath, in water.
It is no coincidence you cannot stop breathing and die, oxygen is a chemical necessary for life relegated to the somatic parts of the brain. But you can starve to death or die of lack of water, which I add simply for an example of conscious override of chemical impulse. You NEED chemicals to live, you ARE chemical attraction even in the subconscious sphere, which can also include the subconscious desire for say drugs or power trips for adrenaline or any extreme emotional state, they CAN all be reduced to chemical interactions. We are chemical interactions, we are a physical object not a spirit not a moral device, KANT DO IT, nothing but the attraction of chemicals to chemicals, hell even love has a chemical base.
We are nothing more then a stoned, a chemical reaction, a cause and effect. That there is where religion comes from. The hypostization of the realization of cause and effect in all spheres of existence given meaning= religion. Which itself is cause and effect but rewards are attached, however abstract. A reward is nothing but a bribe and actual immoral behavior, but that's besides the point. We as human beings having seen that material and our minds and even natural laws realize in an entirely causal and effective universe and in turn apply a rewards system to such and such behavior because we are an obsessive species, a chemically based species, but still an obsessive ordered thinking being who establishes control through intuition and inventiveness controls aspects of nature, but not all and does not weed out subconscious chemical desire, even sex. The obsessive ordered thinking being part is relevant as it justifies our ordered life full of these defined causal effects we add reward however abstract so that the meaning behind say law can be said to have a basis, it is good for it produces or some such horse shit.
But still all religion is, is the ascribing of a causal effect, in rewards as doing to get, or in morality in doing for the sake of x, that we believe there are meanings and reasons to such things as truth, love, right, wrong, that there is a reward for doing so. But in actuality there IS truth, that's about it really, and in truth there is chemicals and highly improbable universes with highly improbable things, God, Allah, Good, Right, and it is dead except for us. The highly improbability is relevant as it is highly improbable that many causal effects happen, but they do. It is also natural that in such an absurd universe where probabilities that are extremely improbable happen, take life for example, that the beings inside of it would reflect this improbability with beliefs in improbable things, as all things are improbable so certainty is near impossible and assumptions are possible and more common.
One last thing on causal effects. Though some segments of natural laws are deterministic in a strictly philosophical deterministic sense, i.e. the extreme position that this WILL do that, most of the causal effects have so many variables included that they are certainly uncertain. What that means is like the brain reality is an ordered structure operating randomly. Oh so many contradictions, well not really, there is an artist who programed a robot to upon hearing music paint in a random fashion, so random in fact that the same piece played twice will never produce the same picture. He did this to prove that it is possible to do art with absolutely no intent. Automatic painting.
We are life. We are living organisms, chemical reactions aware of their own chemical reactions, agents. as such all we know is consciousness. And a consciousness misunderstood as not being the sum of all parts, which is the chemical interaction on a macroscopic level of all the microscopic parts, or that that sum of all parts a mathematical equation and fits, in the sense of meaning, in the physical universe or another abstract universe, realm, etc., like us, though we are in no means abstract but as I put forward a chemical reaction, we are normative in the physical realm. But we know we are a highly developed organism with chemical needs. We acknowledge this when we eat and the fear of our subjective termination, annihilation turn us into hypostizing creatures, things which ascribe qualities only knowable in a certain consciousness and level of agency to things which do not share that specific existence.
Side note: fear of death is universal, a human who fears not death is a broken human being. Even the evidence that in all spheres of existence and societies and activities we act to preserve ourselves instinctively, that is chemically, which is the most reduced level wherein a basis of cause and effect can be given through greater understanding of the physical cause of things which human beings are and necessarily are inside of or we wouldn't need to eat.
If we reject the idea we are base impulses than what does that say of the white blood cell in our body SEEKING out the infection, is it conscious? If not than how does it act out of conscious thought for the same obsessive ordered goals in simile with human desire and action as being chemical desires. Side note: relationships make us FEEL good. That's how you describe love, an obsessive ordered chemical high. So I don't believe in anything that is given value as value is nothing but hypostization, taking a human quality and making it literal, the moon smiled, and a result of a causal chain of effects obsession in the brain, and we are in totality a chemical reaction. For these reasons and more but will require more effort than I want to put in I am a nihilist.
It is a scary position. For instance there are one million near earth objects capable of MASS EXTINCTION, I mean one cave in Africa will survive shit, asteroids sizes of the ones that wiped out the dinosaurs and there is no superhero to stop them. We've tracked about two hundred and fifty out of a million that might hit. You do the math that's like 2 percent of the possible mass extinction size asteroids and no bearded dude in the sky to save us, no sciences developed, no budgets researching, just the hope they'll pass by...........I'm scared....of rocks.
