Angel,

In ‘err thee be so bright amongst the wicked night?

The stars fade a forlorn shade
As embers paved across night skies
Ever ponder, so somber wishing such-
Seductive, wistful “whys”

Paled by your pearl grace
They only came to place, as light amongst unchaste
Of this pallid race, with voluptuous tastes
For the wanton nights unkind…

Stewing misery sublime

The stars our eyes confine…
Strung you up to die
Skinned and feathered
Weathered by sky
To stumble upon drink and beast
Or love since ceased
As the day would pass you by…

So looking at you with gaping eyes…
The stars give that exasperated “Whyyy…”
And to the darkness… through the darkness
And in the darkness they hide…

Not too many people write like this anymore. It feels good to see a bit of structure and a clever rhyme scheme.

Cool. "stewwing misery sublime" very poe-esque. The archaic stance was a bit off-putting at first, but it grew on me as I read on. The only thing that bothers me is how you strecthed out the word "Why". Felt bothersome to me. But it's whatever. This was still a great read. Thanks :)
