Elegance crossed my mind
I knew it in time
It took a while
As hourglasses emptied
I articulated it
Living with romance
With finesse and passion
It took many ages
As empires fell
I etched it in skin
Upon beautiful flesh
By passionate kiss
Dust usurped my dreams
Sanity burst the seams
It takes a while
In Time I will know it
And I hope
That when we first touch
Elegance will cross my mind

Thought-provoking and quietly, stylishly compelling write. I particularly liked the lines "As hourglasses emptied // I articulated it": this holds originality and insightful strength.

This was simple but beautiful. Easy on my taste...lovely.
