The roses are burning
Flowers dont wear mascara
Or dress with disease
Flowers can grow
From the earth with ease
Yet the roses are burning

The orchids are poisoned
Flowers dont gossip
or spread thunderous lies
Flowers can grow
From electric purple skies
Yet the orchids are poisoned

The ivy is crawling
Devouring the carnage
Feasting on the dead
Ivy can grow
From dirt now stained red
Now the ivy is crawling

Is this your garden of Eden?
Where the lovely flowers wilt
And ivy thrives
As beauty dies
Have your god damned garden

how on this earth did I miss your writing until now?!?! You have a fantastic command, a dazzling array. You make the simplicity of the form transmogrify into the sublime! Compressed conventional stanzas that speak of so much, desire and yearning and vitality, yet with a slightly anarchic or Armegeddon-esque poise. And the vivid quality is dazzling " The orchids are poisoned Flowers dont gossip or spread thunderous lies Flowers can grow From electric purple skies Yet the orchids are poisoned.." Great. Absolutely engaging and moving, extremely well done..

"Flowers dont wear mascara"... for some reason that line just jumped out at me. This was a bittersweet and lovely as can be. Well done, dear.

I wasn't too into it untilt he last stanza where your unique style finally bled through. The traditional poetic form was almost foreign after reading your other works. I felt it lacked the power I had come to expect, but you wrapped it all up and brought it back to your level of creativity with that last bit. Bravo.

The last stanza is concrete, the others seemed a bit scattered, and misplaced. Overall, good, with potential for greatness. +tpu+

....and oh how the ivy thrives.... such a stagnate festering.. saturated.. living in the shadow of creative beauty. ...nicely done. love it.

How about "Flowers and Ivy" as the title? A bit obvious but works for me. Of course 'tis nothing but my humble opinion :)
