I trusted you, as a child does
I was supposed to, I thought
I trusted you, just because
Into this world, me, you brought

Some things just can't be erased
Forgiven or forgotten
A natural love gone to waste
The perfect treasure, rotten

Childhood innocence, taken
Violated from the one
Supposed to bring in the bacon
Hurt stemming from where I begun

You wonder why, now
I won't visit you, as I should
You wonder why, now
I blame you, for good

I trusted once, as a child should
Naive youth, the simple truth
You taught me not to trust, for good
Your lessons were simply uncouth.
