Anxiety

I feel so alone even in a crowd
I have no one to turn to
Empty inside, like I'm in a cloud
People here and there, if they only knew

The fear inside holds me back
Temple pulsing, heart racing,
Be careful, don't step off track
Insanity cautiously embracing

Anxiety makes me feel so scared
I don't know where to go
Where can I hide and be spared?
Can they see it on my face, do they know?

I would rather die than live like this
My world isn't normal like all the rest
Take the knife from the hand you kiss
Before it's plunged right into my chest
