I’ve laid down my life with an Ophelia’n plight
The innocence of the world turned gray.
But I loved still as ever before, your face had just turned away.
And the heavens were made for eyes to gaze,
And the essence of the stars can be found in mine.
But the numerous treasures and the boundless pleasures
The distance from your heart to the sky.
Is less traversed and easily cursed, with earthly delight.
And the stars no longer shine so bright in my eyes,
You looked away unnerved.
But what good is there Beauty, to have the sight,
That as creatures as we deserve?
And maybe when- the divine plan, has tread its course through pain,
I shall silently die in lily dreams in an ocean of stars in the sky.
And then in dreams, your eyes shall sparkle the way they use to gleam,
When love was fresh, in a virgin bed, I found you next to me.

The swingy rhyme/structure of this piece, along with the whistful tones, gave it a dreamy quality. I really love this.
