where strife anger and hate ablaze
my nerves of steal and eyes of glaze
i cock my rifle and say my prayer
ready to face my only fear
i'll put a bullet in his chest
or stab my dagger in his breast
for this man i shed no tear
but if this man is me
this i fear
to live to die to be no more
to lose myself in one man's war
now it seems i do not care
to leave my family cold and bare
but the end is no where near
