I will promise to try and calm
my head within the bright glow of
your waking dawn, if it means
I will see you in the moment
when the sky begins to break
like a bit of black ink against
papery clouds. I will wait here with
patience, will be ever optimistic if
it means you will appear as a
smiling star and be mindful of my
shaking with a nod of acceptance.

Promise me you will embrace my
chaos like shyly dancing lovers in
the dark and mend the broken
bits of horizon with your silken
words and demand the balance of
scales with neutral tilt of head
and constant challenge. Be all you
are for there is nothing to change.
