They told me
Laugh at flowers
with flowers
perfumed kisses
and vibrance
rich beauty
only the eye
could capture
in fevered moments
but never hold.
what joy life has come to be
when dew drops play upon the skin
and if I did
Laugh at flowers
with flowers
withered petals
defying grace
rich beauty
crushed beneath
the jagged base of
this worn out shoe.
If death has come to set you free,
I release you from your dirty root
