As midnight lays
her blood lent rays
the forest sways
in jeweled mist
the small leaves scream
to change their sheen
yet still they seem
prone to resist.

And there she lie
in emerald hues
conceived of lyre
and born of light
the stars above
candescent blues
dim in shame
with her in sight.

but deep inside
she seeks to hide
a darker side
she won't confess
these burning trees
pollute the breeze
a wanton tease
of flames caress.

and there she stood
amid the rose
forsaken petals
left to wilt
these jagged thorns
it never chose
yet bears them without
blame or guilt.

There are no cures
for lust like hers
though mind deters
with heart she went
with trusty blade
chaos remade
my renegade
shall not repent.

All life crumbles
to ash and dust
She tore her mask
of discipline
as Heavens gates
wither and rust
with one soft touch
of ivory skin

If ever I knew
who to trust
I'd take the raging
beast within.

And she did fall
just like we all
to sins sweet call
all pleasures met
and though we loose
we always choose
the devils ruse
without regret.
