i have a half eaten whopper
and a bag of cold fries
as my stomach growls howls
my head spinning round and around round around down
it spins down and around and up then down
my stomach cries tears cries acid

my car saunters luxuriously loudly
and my gas tank cries fumes cries gasoline
true story, i ate burgers instead of feeding her
now she is sad hungry
i ate food instead of feeding her

then my wallet is home to moths
and my bank is evicting me
say i don't make enough to have an account
though i'm a manager now
it doesn't matter much
i am the guy no one remembers
until it's too late to remember anyone else

i read all the old store mail today
because no one came in until too late
and it was only an exchange and a return
but i sold a gps unit
no one cares
they want measurables or big tickets
stupid clocks or extended warranties
no one wants that stuff.

i got sick at house the other night
all my food made guest appearances
later on in the show
like a bad actor from the 80's
making a spot on a sitcom
then i called my mom with tears in my eyes
i think she was annoyed
i don't know though.

but my friend's friend
nearly canceled tonight
we're the only guests
and she nearly canceled
because my friend's friend's boyfriend's dad
took her and my friend's friend out to diner
he always does that
take them out for food
when we're the only guests
they saw a movie and had dinner
when we were the only guests
to the same movie
but they went without us
so my friend and i had sex
instead.

i still have a half eaten whopper
and a bag of cold fries
i hardly ate, true story
i should have fed her
instead of my face
made my stomach cry tears cry acid
instead of her cry gas cry fumes
instead
instead
instead
instead
instead i have a half eaten whopper and an uncaring friend's friend

i know you'll cry real tears.

Ugh, sweetheart. I'm sorry you had to feel this way. But at least, something good came of it (id est, fucking phenomenal and pivotally provocative poetry)? P.S. This had gorgeous rhythm; the kind of rhythm that just spills out -- unedited, uninterrupted flow. P.P.S. "How's that for alliteration?" ;o

Hey, this is pretty good, kinda sad, but good. I like it. I just hope you feel better. Good luck.

With some stuff I found today, I doubt I'll be feeling too well any time soon.
