She blew out the stars
Like b.i.r.t.h.d.a.y candles
Made wishes on

tomorrows

She hid away so she wouldn’t be a burden
And whispered her problems to the constellations
In hopes that a guardian a.n.g.e.l
Would fall from the midnight clouds

She stayed awake ‘til sunrise
And tucked the moon into bed

With pupils the size of Jupiter
And shooting stars streaking bloodshot across her eyes
She traipsed toward the universe

Tears like meteors
Digging graves into her skin

She’s the sun in a lunar eclipse
Turning her back on the world
And leaving it to darkness

Abandoning the world
Like her dead-beat dad did with her

She’s never seemed so perfect.

Love the first image there, and the double implication on wishes or dreams tied to each. A great piece overall, write on.
