Teach me to dance
Like butterflies in trumpet vines
And I will show you a carnival of cliffs and coves
Perhaps we could recover the wonder
We lost

Somewhere…

We can cross those shadows
That we pray in
For the sun doesn’t belong to the morning
It belongs to us.

I almost sense a double edge to this near light-hearted hope? *teach me to dance* jerk my strings... but in saying that, I won't say that my mind is in the proper light for the reading of such a write. I choose to see the hope... I choose... choose.

I am so enamored with this. It's anything but lacking "wonder". In fact, it's wonder in its purest form. Gorgeous. And that first stanza is so flawlessly conveyed...if being awake is this lovely, I pray to God that I will never sleep again. (Unfortunately, being awake is never so beautiful in my world, as in yours.)

No Moonie they don't but sometimes you can only stay under a rock for so long...even though I frequent that rock a lot.

I'm the shadow under the rock... any daring enough to look under will only see me flee.

Excellent as always, and it caught me in a mood where it just seemed to hit home, regardless of circumstance. And a title that speaks to me, are my eyes even open anymore? write on...
