I knew
Dreams are futile
Panties of a whore useless
and yet...
The day he approached my gate
Exotic in foreign fatigues
With bridal promises in a sprig of astilbe.
I fluttered foolishly like a flurry's first flight
...and the birth of a blizzard began
I relinquished his oath
The only thing he left me
and yet...
Barren chambers still echo
"Astilbe loving you"

She knew
All the while
Fancy words, fog and mist
To hide my true intent
And yet...
Maybe it was fate
As I approached the gate
Erotic implicated rose in tow
Broken promises my fig leaf
Falsifying every footstep henceforth
Extinguished belief of our time before
In her life with me
And yet...
Her last breath echoes
A still born love for me
"Maybe..."

Another suitor called upon
my garden gate
Ignorance signed his departure date
my amulet of arsine ale
poisoned my parlor party
And when it came time
He shined a toothless grin
Among tea lighted gourds
Autumn winds waved locks like vines
Rendering him all mine
But through the breeze
I heard you call
"I'll come home before I die
I will make you my virgin bride
...loving you"

With halo'd eyes aqua blue
Deep as sin with finger's tremored
I found this flower whithered
But still she looked upon me
Mixing signals
And just staring
All the while blowing
Smoke rings Hollowed as a metaphor of me

I could tell just by the way
She saw right through
That she saw a true nakedness
No one's seen or knew

Yeah...
I turned away
Perhaps in fear
Or maybe shame
But she sat steady

     "When you're ready"

          She said

     "I'm right here for you."

Yeah...
And with foolishly fury's first flight
And gagging stunted stuttered "why's"
Raised her voice to razor blade skies
Took my neck in her hands
And in dimensional three digital so real as can be
Bled the answers out of me

Really enjoyed the way it all pieced together and the unraveling notions as if the thoughts were part of a conversation that were taking place in 'real time'...hence - "Yeah".....~tandem sync~

The honor is mine. This was a blast, epic, and certainly more than worth the time we spent on it. Cheers!

I love the ending, and the sound of that second last line. You two did this very well indeed. Write on, both of you.
