"A Portrait of Hope" by Narcissa

Seperated only by ethereal blue eyes
Of sunset and daybreak
Heaven denied
Her portrait of "Hope"

Torn in two

I slept under your eyes
You wept under mine
Our soles bled
From chasing one another
In dreams

We were to exist for others
Inspiration
Like sundials and stepping stones

And I wonder ...
how many hearts
I have to break
to mend mine

For she still sends me lovers
With eyes of blue
I search every pair
But none belong to you

In earth or in ash
Our souls will unite
and someday
"Hope" will be restored
