She placed blue bonnets in excess
Ignoring the bones beneath her dress
My site too grave for the dead
She placed a vase above my head
Over a hundred years of being alone
and no one has ever visited my stone
A vision of youth. My garden she graced
My haunting cemetery had been replaced
Spilling her hair across the weeds
She lays by my side and softly she reads
She brushes off the dirt to reveal my name
Wishing hers and mine to be the same
For she speaks of life when shes with me
"The years alive are pale to eternity"
Time crept like ivy on the gate
But she knew to hold on to fate...
The blue bonnets lined the hall
Dancing as lovers at a ball
A wedding waltz played
Forever embraced they stayed
To Thomas 1875-1900
Time may cage our souls
But love will set us free
