Ask of all a question,
Metered prose from me,
Almost second language,
Organic program be,

Works? I have too many,
I cannot count the herd,
Some are just too sad,
Pun-ished little word,

Like the bards of old,
I group, re-group each phrase,
Write, rewrite, rewrite,
Different in each phase,

Songwriter, IF you know,
Who wants a bit of prose,
Might could use a petal,
To help them grow their rose,

IF it stirs a heart,
Generates some Hope,
Lights a single candle,
For Hopeless: knot in rope[help to hang on],

I owe so great a debt,
I can never pay,
A flicker to His sunshine,
'though I'm old and grey,

Hope my coin of substance,
Like wind it's never seen,
Proof is in the heart,
In a thousand shades of green[life],

I never will be rich,
Ambition isn't there,
Greed: you CANNOT fill,
A hornet in your hair,

Happiness pursue,
Listen to your heart,
IF you hear it singing,
You have got good start...

It is an honor to be of service... I forget where I found this, but it seems to have the elegance we have lost... Thanks, Jon...

I do so want more prose, and prose like this will do - more than that and any other, it is it's lack I rue. Indeed, here I find so far you're most admirable piece, it has all the elements of good poetry

Not only that but it is full of something that is sorely lacking in modern poetry, hope, joy, happiness - the work sings in its meditatory lyricism. The song warms my heart indeed.
