Know yourself a monster?,
IF monsters all you see?,
If home the heart of soul,
A monster you shall be,

Never know if hug or strike,
Lightning just as quick,
Monster wore a human face,
Excuses always slick,

"You know how hard he works",
"He doesn't mean to boy",
I knew well his smile,
That Pain was his best Joy,

Hell is just a tunnel,
Heaven point-of-light,
IF you have survived,
You have won your fight...

The words are not 100% accurate... Convincing yourself that you have value and worth as a punching-bag for the breadwinner, because-as livestock-your needs are provided for...I tend to wax sarcastic...Thanks, Jon...

Particularly brilliant, the first two stanzas, "he doesn't mean to, boy" perhaps would suit the pause more. Not sure the sentiment finale agrees with me, but this is still an impressive piece of literature
